my parents helped my husband and i purchase a home this year. we have a loan agreement with them and have been making payments of principal and interest since june of this year. the loan is not secured on the home. the home mortgage interest deduction for federal personal income taxes requires that the loan be secured on the property. if i get the loan secured before the end of this taxable year, can i deduct all interest payment made this year even if they were made before the home was secured?

I have a ’secure loan’ but i went bankrupt last year and have since found out that the secure loan was not registered with the land registry! Do i still have to pay it? or can i take them to court? The loan company is still asking for the money.

We are trying to short sale our house and were approached by some people from up north that wanted to buy some property here in Florida and rent it out or a copule of years. They offered to buy our short sale house if we would sign a 2 year lease and rent from them. At the end of the 2 years they would like to either move into the house, or sell it, possibly back to us at the appraised amount. Can this be done? I have only heard of this as an issue of having family buying a short sale so their family members can stay in their own house by renting it and then maybe buy it back when it could be afforded.

bank gave 2 secured loans in 2005 to company A. One was 1 million used to buy equipment for the plant. the second one was line of credit partially used to buy a truck and then a later draw to buy raw material. Company A failed to file taxes end of 2005. In 2007 the irs filed a tax lien. Does the tax lien take priority over the security interest on 1st loan. Does it take priority over the truck; how about the draw used for raw material?
