Does controlling alcohol advertising and sales actually reduce drinking and it’s ill effects?

Given the range of problems associated with risky drinking – it is linked to an increased risk of car crashes, fights, rapes, murders, and property damage – can public health be improved by curbing alcohol-related problems through controlling the physical availability of alcohol.
