You sue the guy that caused the accident – oh, well, that would be YOU. So you can’t sue yourself, sorry.
YOU are going to be at fault for this.
Here in the USA< you can sue anyone you want. But you’re not going to win this – just because the accident happened on someone’s property, does NOT make them liable for it. If you’ve got cold freezing weather, you might not even be able to sue because of the ice.
But hey, talk to a lawyer, see what they say.
Anybody can sue anyone at anytime for anything. Winning is another matter
Sue for what? How do you slip on a block of ice? Was it a sheet of ice? What were the weather conditions? Had the parking lot been treated? You need to prove your employer and/or the property owner was negligent. Just because there was ice on the parking lot does not automatically establish negligence. If the ice was a natural accumulation, it will not be considered a defect and you will probably not be able to recover. Anybody else have a problem with this “block of ice”?
You need to report the claim to your insurer. They will decide if the property owner was negligent. Suing your employer does not sound like a very good idea to me.
