I’m looking into getting a secured personal loan for improvements to a new home and would like to use my savings bonds as collateral. When I do this can I continue to keep the bonds in my safe deposit box or do I have to physically turn them over to the bank?

I want to borrow some to money to consolidate all my credit and thought the only way out is to put it on my mortgage. I am tied into my mortgage til November and so will have a charge of £3000.00 to pull out. I could get a secured loan which is the same as a mortgage but you will get quicker money and wont incurr any charrges. What should I do?

I am currently paying off a debt agreement, but am in need of a small (no more than $2,000) secured loan to pay some vet bills etc. I have the capacity to repay this amount within a year but am not sure of any companies who provide such a loan… Are there any? I purchased a piece of raw land, half paid, half financed by the seller. Now I paid off the loan, and prepare to get the whole title. The seller sent me the signed short deed and the request for full reconveyance. Unfortunately the seller lost the note (I am still having a copy of the note).
